Bun Update

Here are new pics of the rabbits. They have grown quite a bit. Again I used the coffee cup as a size reference.

This is Lil One. She weighs 23 ounces.

Blue Ear is now 30.5 ounces.

This is Biggin. He is actually the largest bun at 33.6 ounces, though, he doesn't look it in the picture. He is actually the most skittish also and freaked out for the picture.

By the way, while I think of Biggin as a boy and Lil One as a girl and Blue Ear goes back and forth, we really don't know their sexes yet.

Happenings

I know it has been a super long time since I've been on here. Many things have been happening. Soccer season is starting again, we went to Iowa to visit Gma and Gpa last week, the bunnies are huge, Charity is over her mastitis, I'm looking for a barn cat, it is freezing in Texas, Deklan cut holes in his eyebrow hair (hee hee hee), Christmas lights are done, we know have a teenager living with us, and it is time to start the garden again.

Stef and Niko are getting their referee license renewed tomorrow and Stef is still coaching Niko's soccer team. I don't think I will be coaching Deklan's team this year, but the season has not started yet, so you never know. I am also still on the soccer board.

We went to Iowa to visit my grandparents and help out after Gpa's surgery. He is doing very well, better, in fact, than we thought he would be. We had down to 20 below weather and it snowed 3 times.

We were good grandchildren and shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. The boys also had some time to dig a few tunnels.
While we were there Deklan celebrated his 10th birthday.

We also went to a hockey game and snow tubing and Deklan snowboarded. I will post pics of that when I get them.

While we were gone, Stef, once again, took over for us with the animals. He is truly AWESOME. Before I left, Charity had come down with mastitis and we were in the middle of treating it when I had to leave. I was nervous leaving her but I trusted Stef to do a good job with her, and he did. When I got home she was cured! He also took care of the bunnies. I don't know what he fed them while we were gone but they are absolutely huge now! I am so thankful Christmas lights are done because Stef needs to make us some new rabbit cages! I will take pics of the buns tonight and post them later.

I think we have rats in the barn. Once in a while we will see a barn mouse scurry about, but the dropping I see in the barn are NOT from a mouse. We have all of the animal feed put up and the rodents can't get to them but I am not happy about the idea of rats in the barn. YUCK! So I am searching for a barn cat right now.

Yeah, yeah, I just got back from below freezing temperatures, but there is something about the 30s and windy in Texas that just gets to me. It is miserable. I don't think Staf takes me seriously, but I really want to move somewhere that has NO winter.

Yes, Deklan has bald spots in his eyebrows! He was asking me if he could have an apple today and he looked really weird. I asked him what was wrong with his eyebrows (he was far enough away that I couldn't really tell what it was). He kind of looked nervous and said something about holes in his eyebrows. Long story short... Niko dared him to cut his eyebrows and he did. He though the hair would just be shorter not completely gone. So in hopes of disguising it he filled in the bald spots with black marker! It was Hilarious!!! Oh my lord I got a good laugh out of that!

Speaking of Deklan's ever so helpful brother, he is now a teenager. Yes, Niko turned 13 this week. We are having a paintball party here next weekend.

OMG... I almost forgot THE STEELERS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!
